opportunity for Head of our Medical Communications division. This
is an exciting opportunity to grow our existing business line,
reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer. In addition to a

and life science executives.Purpose of RoleThe Head of Medical
Communications plays a crucial role as business leader and true
partner for our clients as we help them communicate complex medical
messages to both healthcare providers and patients. Through the
delivery of high value strategic offerings and multichannel
communications products, the Head of Medical Communications will
work with media buying, medical affairs, and brand executives in
pharma and biotech to drive the business 'mission of mitigating
health inequities to ensure all patients can get the care they
deserve. Leading a high performing team to deliver on a successful
business strategy is a top priority to ensure business line growth
and profitability.As part of the business line's growth goals, this
leader will be responsible for ensuring the success of the media
and agency offerings Amplity Medical Communications business
currently delivers. This executive will also work with the larger
Amplity leadership team and their direct reports in Medical
Communications to develop and commercialize new offerings that help
the business line quickly realize double-digit revenue growth year
over year.Key Accountabilities
- Develop and lead a strong, appropriately structured, Medical
Communications organization that has the vision, strategic plans,
processes, success measures, talent, and market relevant offerings
for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to effectively drive
business growth and mature with the company over time.
- Manage all financial aspects of the business including
forecasting and contributing to To Be Gained (TBG). Pursue
opportunities to advance client relationships and agency
business.
- Drive a culture of high performance and transparency aligned
with our company's values. Asses the talent of current and future
Medical Communications professionals to deliver against the
business lines vision, strategic plans, processes, success
measures.
- Optimize and modernize the roles, responsibilities,
organizational structure, and reporting relationships within the
business line.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making
and optimize client outcomes.
- Hold final accountability for the quality of all materials and
assets that leave the agency.
- Ensure the strength of relationships for integrated accounts,
actively engaging with client leadership to maintain strategic
alignment across brands or portfolios. Establish solid working
relationships for non-integrated accounts.
- Collaborate with business and support functional leaders across
the rest of Amplity to increase efficiency and drive the successful
development and sale of integrated offerings; e.g. strategic brand
planning workshops with Pharma brand leaders where our Medical
Communications and Intel executives are responsible for creating
strategic messaging and segmentation findings and our Learning
professionals are responsible for facilitating needed interactive
workshops or training sessions for brand leaders.
- Coach and Mentor team leaders to enhance their communication
skills and refine strategies to meet client and organizational
needs. Lead key client meetings and co-lead new business
pitches.
- Partner with corporate marketing to successfully launch a new
name and rebrand for our medical communication business - one that
is powered by Amplity - in 2025.
- Support Amplity's Chief Growth Officer in ensuring the Medical
Communications Business Development team has the product and
offering exposure and input to be successful.
- Integrate, and when needed consolidate or revise, marketing and
communication tools and technologies used by Medical Communications
to align with Amplity's corporate IT standards for compliance and
security.
- Ensure the team takes responsibility for integrating and
leveraging Medical Communications customer and prospect data into
Amplity's unified CRM platform to ensure a single source of truth
for the company.Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
or college required, with an advanced degree in Communications,
Public Relations, Journalism, related field or Health Sciences
preferred.
- Background in medical/health sciences is required
- 12+ years of professional experience, largely within Medical
Communications and in positions of leadership.
- Proven experience in managing large account portfolios(15
million +).
- Deep understanding of multichannel marketing, customer
behavior, and customer journey mapping.
- Forward-looking strategy and planning orientation.Leadership
