Job Description:
A company is looking for a Remote ASL Interpreter for Virginia
Schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) for
deaf or hard-of-hearing students during virtual lessons and
activities
Ensure clear and accurate communication between students, teachers,
and peers
Collaborate with educators and families to meet students'
communication needs
Qualifications:
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher and a passing score on the EIPA written
test, OR a VQAS Level 3 certification
Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Experience in educational settings is preferred but not
required
Ability to work independently and manage virtual interpreting
sessions
Comfortable using digital platforms for remote interpretation
